In fact, it's probably this scam that tipped TJX off that they had a problem. It really gives you a glimpse into just how easily stolen data can be used to create authentic looking credit cards and leveraged to turn data into cash.
It should really give anyone involved in security reason to pause as you consider how many people are actively looking for ways to take advantage of your organization. Sad, really.

Crime Suppression Division police chief Supisal Pakdinaruenar said the man was a prominent member of a credit card fraud gang operating in the United States for the past three years and was believed to have fled to Thailand to evade arrest. He was arrested in a house in the Pak Kret district where he was staying with his Thai wife.
