The Rising Legacy
In the world we live in today, what one can always observe with the world is that it is now very digitized and high tech, where almost every single soul in this planet knows what a computer is and how to use it; I do not mean this in a bad way or in a good way though, I am just merely stating that this has affected our lives in one way or another. Let us take the concept of communication as an example; long ago, communication usually and commonly involved a conference or just two people talking in the physical presence of each of the participants, or it could be that communication was done via mails and letters sent and received; but today, communication now just requires a cellular phone call, or a short text message, or an electronic mail, or through a land line call, online call or even just via chat programs like Yahoo Messenger and the likes; but in all honesty, it is not completely a disadvantage because with that comes a faster way of sending communication which is needed when important matters are involved. Another example would have to be the way news and information nowadays are dispersed and shared; in the olden times, information were shared and spread by word of mouth and also by way of paper and pen, and it was slow; a few centuries after that, information sharing was now done via books and newspapers and also via printed magazines, and now, it is faster; and today, information is now shared via the internet which is readily made available to everyone and is also very up to date, and it is definitely way faster. Another would be the games; long before, children and toddlers would always want to go outside and play, they would mingle with neighboring kids and they would make a lot of friends; but sadly though, today, kids tend to stick on their computer screens or on their PSPs wherever they go and just play the top games on sale at the gaming industry or just indulge in free online games and social life is now sacrificed sadly, too. The advancement of technology today is not always a bad thing; it also provides a number of advantages, but all we need to do is balance these to have our lives better.
