During their leisure time, people often find enjoyment in doing their hobbies such as playing basketball, golf, football, or perhaps going belly dance in gyms. On the other hand, for those that are not quite fond of using their time in athletic activities prefer to just read books and novels, or perhaps write articles, listen to their favorite music, or take a hike around the neighborhood; true, hobbies can give you happiness even after a long day of work or when you have nothing to do in your spare time. But spending time for your hobbies need to be done in moderation and do not allow them to control your life; it is advisable for you to finish all your tasks first especially the more important ones like household responsibilities and school assignments before you do your hobbies. Some hobbies like cooking and dressmaking can also help you in developing skills that are useful and although these hobbies may seem more attractive to girls, it doesn’t mean that boys cannot have them as their hobbies too; even though the recipes that you can do cannot reach the standards of a gourmet, you can still cultivate qualities that can help you when you plan to move out and live independently. Girls can also try doing a boy’s job such as household repairs and mechanics; learning another language can also be a great hobby because this can enable you to communicate with people from other countries, thus widening your knowledge about different cultures. But the expenses for your hobbies also need to be considered.
