The Night of the Year

Many years ago every man would have carried a pocket knife as it was simply the normal thing to do but with knife crime as it is now unfortunately this can no longer be done without it seeming threatening. Times have certainly changed, knives now have a reputation of being dangerous and only used as tools of violence, not as the useful tools they actually are and carrying a pocket knife was no more unusual than carrying a mobile phone today. Pocket knives are very ideal to carry in your pocket because the blade does not lock into place, it is simply held there with a spring device which allows the blade to close if enough force is applied and the blade will only be long enough to fit comfortably back into the handle. It is very important for one to know the laws in their state regarding the purchase of knives before buying a pocket knife because you do not want to end up in jail just because you bought one. Although there are many different types of knifes on the market they range from cheap to very expensive, quality is very important when choosing your pocket knife because a good quality pocket knife, which will cost you an average price if it is looked after well, will last for several years. There are two things to check when purchasing a pocket knife, first is the blade, which should be made of stainless steel and second is the spring mechanism of the joints, which should be new and not rusty so that you will not have any trouble in putting the knife back into place. Custom knife makers will often make you a personalized knife for your collection, although not cheap these are an amazing piece of art to have.
