Dad sent my brother to Thailand a few years back
Dad sent my brother to Thailand a few years back, and he had to spend an entire month in a mountain somewhere in that country, with no electricity, no internet, no cell phone and no music even; and during the day, my brother told me he would just help out the people there in their organic gardening which was the best way to spend a quiet afternoon in that Asian country, which helped my brother reflect on what he wanted to do with his life and at the same time appreciate the simple things in life that truly matter. I remember that incident was just two years ago and my brother has already learned his lesson well that he is now doing a great job being an IT consultant and working big shot in the corporate world, which is something most people would not believe he could do two years ago; but he still does organic gardening in the backyard of the house of our parents every weekend, and it is so amazing to know that he has kept on with the practice after all his success and busy life. It is a real eye opener to be witnessing a success story that is just closer to my reality than most inspirational stories out there, and it is a great thing to be witnessing it first hand,; as for me, the inspirational story of my brother has made me want to strive more and excel in the things that I love to do. So for everyone out there who is going through tough times, just try to hold on and soon you will have the strength to get everything together, and things may not happen how you intend them to be but you just try to make the best out of what you have.
