Lonely Girlfriend

I wanted to get one last glass of water before I went to sleep last night, so I went into the kitchen only to find that my parents were talking about plans and preparations for our yearly summer trip; I wanted to listen in and see if there were any suggestions I could share so I joined them for a while. I used to get really excited about our yearly summer vacations when I was a little kid, because it meant that I would get to spend time with my dad, who always seemed to be working otherwise, and with everyone else who was glad school was out, especially my mom who had to see to it that all our needs at home and in school were taken care of. They started to bring us to more exotic places far from home when we got a bit older to introduce us to locales that were different from the ones we were accustomed to, and the trips not only were fun but informative as well.   My most memorable trip to date is the myanmar tours we went on right before my senior year in high school; unexpectedly mom did not put up much of a fuss when dad first suggested the plan and although they usually take months to decide on where to go, they finalized those plans after minimal discussions. The promise of historic monuments, lush jungles and pristine beaches must have been the lure, as there seemed to be enough activities that the family as a group would enjoy, and each member as individuals would find interesting, and sure enough we did have a lot of fun when we visited the golden land.
